With heavy hearts, we share that Mountainside Animal Emergency & Specialty will permanently close its doors on December 5, 2025.

This decision was not made lightly. Over the past several months, we have explored every option to continue serving this community but ultimately reached the difficult conclusion that we can no longer maintain operations effectively. We understand how much this hospital has meant to our community and the loss this represents for many. While this chapter is ending, we are incredibly proud of the pets we’ve helped and the families we’ve walked alongside during their most important moments.

What You Need to Know:

• Continued Care Until Closing: We will remain open and committed to providing the highest level of emergency and specialty care through our final day on December 5, 2025. If your pet needs to be seen, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If there are changes to service availability, we will update our website and Facebook page.

• Internal Medicine: If your pet is scheduled with or currently being treated by our Internal Medicine team, please rest assured that we will contact you personally to discuss their care. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

• Medical Records: Your pet’s medical history is important, and we’ll ensure you can access it easily. To request records, please email: [email protected]

• Referrals & Ongoing Support: We are actively working with trusted local veterinary hospitals to help guide your pet’s next steps in care. Our team can provide recommendations tailored to your needs.

We know this news may come as a surprise. For many of you, Mountainside Animal Emergency & Specialty has been a trusted partner in your pet’s journey, and for that, we are sincerely grateful.
