Mountainside Animal Emergency & Specialty

Anytime, day or night, we are here to provide compassionate, patient-centered veterinary care that supports the lifelong health and wellness of companion animals. We take pride in enriching our staff and treating our clients like family, ensuring every experience is one of trust and care.

We do this by offering emergency veterinary services around the clock because we understand that when your beloved pet needs help, it doesn’t always happen during regular business hours. Life is unpredictable, and we’re here to help. Additionally, we provide Internal Medicine Services on a referral basis to address more complex medical needs, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to your pet’s unique situation.

How to get to Mountainside Animal Emergency & Specialty

At Mountainside Animal Emergency & Specialty, we care for those who can’t speak for themselves with compassion and traditional values based on the human-to-animal connection. The most important thing for us is to treat your pet with the love and care that it deserves because it’s also what we would want for our own pets.

In a perfect world, our pets would never need emergency care. But when they do, you can trust that a team of dedicated, passionate veterinarians and support staff will be here when your pet needs us. Mountainside believes strongly in “compassion first” or “patient first” medicine and will never stray from that grounding principle.

Since 2018, we have offered a unique blend of emergency and specialty veterinary care in our state-of-the-art 11,320 sq. ft. facility here on the North Shore. In addition to providing emergency services, we offer specialty care tailored to your pet's specific needs, including advanced diagnostic and treatment options through our Internal Medicine Services. From blood work to ultrasound, from x-rays to surgical procedures, our team of veterinarians and veterinary professionals are here to support your four-legged family members alongside your primary care veterinarian.

We respectfully acknowledge the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations and all the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast, on whose traditional and unceded territories we work and live. Acknowledgment is a stage in the process of reconciliation. We are committed to the process.
